The Company’s success is defined not only by positive financial results, but also by the ability to solve acute social problems. This thesis underlies the activities of most prosperous multinational corporations. Therefore, following the most current global trends in the field of business management strategy, NORCHEM Group defines compliance with the so-called ESG principles as one of its priority targets.

ESG rules imply the formation of policies, reporting and the achievement of specific goals by the company in the fields of “Environmental” (ecology), “Social” (social policy) and “Governance” (management).

ESG ratings are used to assess the effectiveness of company management and predict potential corporate, environmental, and social risks. Moreover, the presence of an ESG rating promotes the growth of interest from investors and clients, focused on working with those companies that follow the principles of sustainable development.

Applying the world’s best management practices, NORCHEM also aims to systematize its projects and initiatives related to the impact on the economy, nature and society. For these purposes, the Company entered into an agreement with a recognized expert in the field of developing advanced business strategies. This expert will collect and systematize the most important information on the activities of production sites and other Companies of the NORCHEM, including the electricity, water and other resources consumption; methods of disposal, processing and handling of production waste; applied corporate governance practices; methods of working with employees and other information related to ESG-principles.

The result of the expert’s activity will be an assessment of the production, logistics and other activities of the enterprises of the NORCHEM Group from the point of view of compliance with ESG-principles, including determining the degree of harmful effects of industrial enterprises on the environment and climate. Received data will become an invaluable contribution to the development of the social and ecological strategy of the NORCHEM, and will serve as a prerequisite for NORCHEM’s ESG rating by RAEX-Europe Agency.
